Deep South Maldives

The DEEP SOUTH MALDIVES trip covers 3 atolls: GAAFU ALIFU ATOLL, GNAVIYANI ATOLL, ADDU ATOLL.

The DEEP SOUTH MALDIVES is the advanced diving trip of our Maldives liveaboard trips. It will take you all the way south down to the last atoll of Maldives in the southern hemisphere. Usually from January to March, when the right water and weather conditon prevail, we are given the opportunity to dive in this amazing far south area of Maldives. During this period of the year, in the south, water pours into the atolls from the out seas, bringing spectacular things, especially the big ones into the channels in the atolls. Manta ray, whale shark, tiger shark and many other species of sharks, It is a feast of marine giants to your eyes which you’ll never forget. However, it is because of such challenging water condition, divers are demanded to have high diving experience to participate in the southern Maldives trip, regardless which route is taken.

Day 1 (Saturday)

Embark and check-in. The ship will anchor in KOODDOO / GAN all the time. Embarkation starts at 14:30. You will be taken to INFINITY X from the airport by speed boat / dhoni. After boarding, there’s the check-in and room assignment, followed by the ship and trip briefing. There will be no diving on the first day.

Day 2 to day 7 (Sunday to Friday)

On day 2 (Sunday), depart early in the morning and start the diving. 3 dives a day, altogether 18 dives in 6 days, including 1 or 2 night dives (according to the weather and water condition). Shall the weather and water condition allow, we’ll pay a visit to an island during the trip and have diner on the beach. On day 7 (Friday), dive in the morning and get back to GAN / KOODDOO in the afternoon.

Day 8 (Saturday)

Check-out and disembark. Check-out starts at 8:00 am, after check-out, you will be sent to the airport at GAN / KOODDOO by speed boat / dhoni. Guests must leave the ship before 10:00 am.

Central Maldives

The CENTRAL MALDIVES trip covers 4 atolls in the center of Maldives: KAAFU ATOLL (NORTH MALE + SOUTH MALE), ALIFU DHAALU ATOLL/SOUTH ARI, ALIFU ALIFU ATOLL/NORTH ARI, VAAVU ATOLL.

The central Maldives has always been the best of the Maldives for liveaboard diving because of its relatively calm and clear water, stunning beautiful reefs/islands, which provides a perfect under water environment for fish and corals that brings various species of marine lives. Almost all the marine organisms living in Maldives can be found in this area. Although the calm water provides relatively easy dive sites, different kinds of dives are still involved, such as deep dive, drift dive, night dive and etc..

North of Maldives

The NORTH MALDIVES trip covers 4 atolls north to Male’: North Male Atoll, Baa Atoll, Raa Atoll, Lhavi Yani Atoll.

90% of the corals in Maldives is hard coral. The only 10% soft coral lives in the north. Besides, going to the north, you’ll meet the legendary Hanifaru Bay. As a shooting spot of the BBC documentary “The Blue Planet”, in Hanifaru Bay, there’s a chance that you could see hundreds of mantas swimming together.

Day 1 (Saturday)

Day 2 to day 7 (Sunday to Friday)

Day 2 (Sunday), depart early in the morning from Male’ and start diving. 3 dives a day, altogether 18 dives in 6 days, including 1 or 2 night dives (according to the weather and water condition). Shall the weather and water condition allow, we’ll pay a visit to an island during the trip and have dinner on the beach. On day 7 (Friday), dive in the morning and get back to Male’ in the afternoon.
